Day 6

Day 5 Video/Photos: Three Spot

Today is a two-a-day, practice one is in the books. It was hot and humid even at 8:15 in the morning. I got in a full lather sweat before the practice was done. We were in full pads again and there was some on point contact. The offense went on a little torch run of the defense during some red-zone action.

Practice #2 of the day is in the books. These days are so long. We went just shells this afternoon and had to move into "The Cage" when a storm rolled through. I wish lightening wasn't dangerous because I think it would be bad ass to practice in the middle of a storm. Doesn't that just scream football?

In closing, I'd like to say that my thoughts and prayers are with Colt Phillips and his family. Colt is a tight end here at UVA and his dad and brother were on that plane that crashed in Alaska late Monday. His dad died in the crash but his brother survived. His brother acted courageously as he was the only one of four who had mobility got the survivors to safety amongst the freezing rain and hailed the rescuers to their position.
