Slinging

College football is out of control. Every week someone in the Top 10 has gone down. This past week Ole Miss ranked at #4 went down to South Carolina. Now, personally I did not see how Ole Miss was ranked #4. Snead looked nothing like the QB they claim him to be. Penn State fell at home to Iowa. The U went down, down down, at Virginia Tech. So it's still wide open in the ACC. Anyone could win the ACC including UVA. We're 0-0 in the ACC so I'm still holding out hope that we can run the table and get it going. The only thing that would've made this weekend complete would have been a Notre Dame loss but Purdue was too busy acting like Purdon't to pull out the win. What happened at the end of that game is one of biggest cluster fucks I've ever witnessed. Good job Purdue. I'll tell you this, Houston could be the real deal. At least their coach is. That guy is going to be landing a big time job in the future if he keeps on winning. I think the only thing we know for sure about this college football season is that Florida will most likely repeat and Texas is pretty good.

Speaking of Florida. I don't think I've ever seen cameras follow a player to an ambulance and then follow his exit until Tim Tebow got concussed this weekend in Lexington. Every single thing that over hyped and over glorified guy does is documented and then turned into some sort of dramatic portrayal. Seriously, I felt like I was watching Michael Jackson go to the hospital the way Tim Tebow's concussion was covered. The media needs to get off their knee pads for this guy. I'm sick and tired of hearing about him.

Ohio State smashed Illinois at home in a game I'm sure Woody Hayes was smiling down from the heavens on. In the first half Pryor was 0-2 with 0 passing yards. Pryor did throw some in the second half. However, he still sucks at slinging the rock. He continues to loft the ball and still cannot look off defenders or look for other options in the play. I'm sure over time he's going to become a heck of a QB. But right now he's just not very good at throwing the ball. Ohio State should just use him and use his skills the way they should be used. Right now he's fairly good at running the ball. Maybe move the guy out of the pocket. Bootleg him. He reminds me of a young Troy Smith. Hopefully before he's done he gets a Heisman like Troy Smith. Ohio State's D is pretty impressive and they don't lose anyone this year so next year they should be even better. They have had two shut out's in a row and played USC the best they could (I still blame that loss on play calling).

Another beef I have with college football right now is Boise State being #5. Are you freaking kidding me????!!!! I hate them and their blue field. I hope to God that they do make a BCS bowl and then get blown out like Hawaii did against Georgia. Boise State, I know you beat Oklahoma a few years back but you couldn't hang in a big time conference if you tried. I want you to get out of the WAC and join a conference like the Big 12, Big 10, SEC, ACC, Pac 10 or something and then tell me how good you are. You are garbage and you suck.

The Browns are the worst NFL team I've ever seen since their return in 1999. They don't have a QB. The running game is wack. Josh Cribbs is your best play maker. The defense is bad. Mangini sucks. Note to Bengal fans, just because you beat Pittsburgh does not give you the right to chirp about being back in the AFC North. The Ravens or Pittsburgh will still win the division. Please for once act like realistic fans like myself and recognize your team is bad. Well at least not as bad as the Browns. But I will give the Bengals props for beating Pittsburgh as the Steelers are my most hated team. Mike Tomlin is still a bad ass and he's the only dude I respect from that franchise.

The Blueprint III by Jay-Z is really good. I recommend the album to everyone. I've really been jamming O.A.R. lately. But, you guys all know that I bump Dave Matthews Band all day everyday. In case you haven't notice ESPN teamed up with Dave and the fellas. Songs from Big Whiskey and the GrooGrux King are featured throughout ESPN broadcasts of college football games as well as timeless classics from previous albums.

U2 is playing at Scott Stadium Thursday night. The stage looks unreal. Apparently it rotates 360 degrees. I really want to go but I'm currently minus ticket. So if anyone has connections to get me a legit ticket I will gladly pay you with UVA gear.

Current Song: Don't Drink The Water - Dave Matthews Band (Live from Fenway Park 2006)

Keep it real readers. Do what we do. Keep slinging.
