The Buckeyes smacked New Mexico. I haven't been able to see a lot of the games this year but anytime I see 45-0 up on the scoreboard you just have to think a smack down was issued by the Vest and co. Yo Reynolds, if you're reading this, I'll be looking for those 'Zona game shorts as soon as we beat Michigan. You not only said Michigan would win but win by 10, easiest bet in my life. All in fun though my man. But anytime Michigan gets waxed by a really bad Illinois team then it certainly won't be going down for them when The Vest and company roll up there. The Vest has only lost once to Michigan and that was to Lloyd Carr who was a far more respected coach than Bitch Rod.
Xavier has an exhibition game tomorrow against Rollins College. It will be everyone's first look at the Chris Mack era. Just refer to my Xavier post if you want to know what I think about this year's team. I definitely can't wait for the season to really get rolling. I'm so tired about talking about how bad _ayton is that I don't even feel like giving them the time of day right now. But trust me their weak ass strength of schedule will come back to bite them majorly in the ass. Just when their fans think that team is good they will come back to their shitty level. Hey B. Gregory I hope that cupcake of a schedule you signed up works out well for you...oh wait, it won't. YOu don't challenge yourself one bit. That 244 strength of schedule will really pay off come conference play, conference tournament time, and if you're lucky NCAA tourney time. The way I see it, you won't be playing for long in March. Meanwhile, X will be doing what they do and that's winning championships and danza smacking opponents because they prepare themselves the right way by playing legit teams. Let's go X.
The World Series is four games deep and the Yankees lead 3-1. Going back to my post season predictions I said Cardinals and Yankees with the Yanks winning in 6. Well I'm still on track for the Yankees winning in six because I think Cliffy Lee gets it done tonight but it may be too much to ask for the Phils to get one going back to NY. However, if Pete is on the mound in NY, he just may have the right stuff.
Now, as promised I have a Gordon College basketball preview. My brother balls there so you know I gotta throw some love their way. Gordon College is a small D3 school about 20 minutes north of Boston on the North Shore. There are big cribs in the area. The book The Perfect Storm and movie all take place in Glousceter which is just a quick drive from campus. Really sweet area for school and I'm looking forward to getting up there for a game this year. For those of you wondering, that's young Ben getting a smash in on some weak ass fools.

-New head coach, Tod Murphy, was on the original starting 5 for the Minnesota Timberwolves. Also spent time with the Clippers, Warriors, and Pistons. Played in the ABA and overseas as well. Was a 4 year starter at UC-Irvine, and was most recently their assistant coach.
-Toughest competition within the league will be Colby Sawyer College, University of New England, Wentworth Institute of Technology, and Endicott College (main rival).

This year looks like it could be one of the best in Gordon history if everything can go as planned. We unfortunately didn't get any national recognition in the pre-season polls, but we will just use that as motivation and catch people by surprise. The conference polls have not come out yet, but hopefully we can get recognized as the team to beat this year. We return everybody, while the top teams from last year lose a lot of players from their programs. Some teams have added division 1 transfers (Wentworth has 2 players from UNH on their squad) and others have added some good talent from prep schools and junior college transfers, but that doesn't phase us because we have the tallest line up in the league and the two best guards in the league as well. We will be playing with the main 7 guys we played with last year, but looking to add a few role players this year with some of our sophomores and a freshman. We create a lot of match up problems because we have 3 guys that can play the 1, 2 or 3 at anytime. We have 5 big guys of 6'7 or taller that can be interchanged between the 4 and 5 spots. Our expectations for right now include winning the conference, both regular season and tournament, and to advance as far as possible in the NCAA tournament. We have never gotten past the semi-finals for the conference tournament and we have never gotten past the 1st round of the NCAA tournament and if there is any team that is capable of reversing those trends, it is this years squad.
